On March 19, 2025, Li Huawei, Chairman of the Group Company, accompanied by Shang Weidong, Director of the Technology & Quality Department; Chen Deyong, Director of the Shenzhen Office of the Third Company; and Dai Dong, Director of the Zhuhai Office of the Second Company, visited the Huanan Industrial Technology Research Institute of Zhejiang University (hereinafter referred to as “Huanan Research Institute”) for research and exchange. The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on geotechnical engineering innovation, intelligent construction, and green building technologies, reaching key consensus on deepening industry-academia-research collaboration. Cao Zhigang, Dean of Huanan Research Institute; Fu Shuixiang, Vice Dean; and heads of relevant departments participated in the visit and attended the symposium.
During the visit, the delegation toured Huanan Research Institute’s achievements in intelligent construction, new material R&D, and digital engineering applications. They focused on exploring the institute’s research prospects in fields such as intelligent robotics development, BIM digital systems, and low-carbon building materials.
At the symposium, Chairman Li Huawei expressed high recognition of Huanan Research Institute’s technological innovation capabilities. He emphasized that CHCI adheres to a development strategy of “technology leadership and excellence in quality and service,” with a corporate vision to “build an internationally top-class geotechnical engineering technology group and ensure enduring business prosperity.” The Group Company is committed to specializing, refining, strengthening, and scaling its core geotechnical engineering operations while accelerating digital and green transformation. He noted that Huanan Research Institute’s advancements in intelligent sensing and low-carbon construction align closely with the Group’s business focus, creating opportunities for extensive collaboration in regional geographic information system development.
Dean Cao Zhigang stated that Huanan Research Institute, leveraging Zhejiang University’s academic strengths, has established a comprehensive innovation chain spanning fundamental research, technology development, and industrial incubation. He expressed eagerness to deepen cooperation with CHCI in major project R&D, talent cultivation, and shared platform development, facilitating the translation of laboratory achievements into practical engineering solutions and driving high-quality advancements in geotechnical engineering.
This visit marks a key initiative under the Group’s 2024–2028 Development Plan and represents an active effort to advance industry-academia-research collaboration. Both parties agreed to swiftly establish regular cooperation mechanisms, integrate innovation and industrial chains, and inject new momentum into the digital transformation of geotechnical engineering.
