The project is located in the south of Liugang Fangchenggang iron and steel base project site in Qisha Linhai Industrial Park in the southeast of Fangchenggang City, Guangxi. The general contractor is SINOSTEEL MECC.
The main buildings (structures) of the proposed project include coke oven foundation, coal bunker, end platform, chimney stack, large intermediate platform, ground dust removal station, crusher, screening room, transfer station, belt tunnel, pusher machine, coke conveyor track and dust removal supporting frame etc. Entrusted by Party A, our company undertook the detailed geotechnical survey for the project.
The survey of this project began on December 5, 2018, and ended on December 26, 2018, with a report date of January 15, 2019, and the report was submitted on January 15, 2019, which lasted 37 days and met the schedule requirements.
According to the work content, this project has the following key difficulties.
Tight construction period: the total workload of this project is about 6000m with a total construction period of 50 days. 7 days for the transportation, 10 days for the indoor work and 33 days for the outdoor work. Additionally, the local team works less efficiently, the site is closer to the sea and the rainy season is longer.
Local standard requirements are strict: there are numbers of local standards, and some local standards should be understood.
Stratigraphic conditions: the upper part of the site is filled with thick soil and mainly composed of sand layer, how to ensure the stability of the borehole and ensure no collapse of the hole is one of the difficulties of the project.
After the survey was completed, it passed the approval of the Party A and passed the review of the local auditing organization. The project schedule, quality, safety and environmental protection all meet the requirements and achieve good results, which are fully affirmed by the owner.
