Entrusted by Shijiazhuang Metro Co., Ltd, our company undertook the project of monitoring the structural deformation of Shijiazhuang Metro Line 1 Phase II (Xiaohe Avenue Station - Tianyuanhu Station) and Line 3 Phase I (Shierzhong Station - Xisanzhuang Station) during the operation period in 2019-2020.

The monitoring scope of Shijiazhuang Metro Line 1 phase II (Xiasohe Avenue station -Tianyuanhu station) starts from Xiaouhe Avenue Station (excluding), ends at Tianyuanhu Station (including turn back line), and includes an entrance and exit line of Xizhaotong depot and a main substation. The main line has a total length of 10.151 km and is laid along Qinling Street and Xincheng Avenue. It is all underground. There are 6 stations, including Xizhuang Station, Dongzhuang Station, Convention and Exhibition Center Station, Administrative Center Station, Yuanboyuan Station and Tianyuanhu Station, with an average interval distance of 1.684 km.

The monitoring scope of Shijiazhuang Metro line 3 phase I (Shierzhong Station - Xisanzhuang station) starts from Shierzhong Station (excluding) and ends at Xisanzhuang Station (including turn back line). The main line has a total length of 5.9 km. It is laid along Lianmeng Road and Zhonghua Street, which are underground lines. There are four stations, including Xisanzhuang Station, Shuishang Park Station, Bailinzhuang Station and Shizhuang Station, with an average interval distance of 1.177 km.

According to the design requirements and the actual situation of the project, the items to be monitored are determined comprehensively, including the following:

1.Settlement monitoring of the station, tunnel main structure, appurtenant facilities and road bed, and monitoring of uneven settlement between structures.

2.Monitoring of horizontal displacement of the roadbed and main structure.

    3.Tunnel section convergence monitoring.

4.Intensive monitoring shall be carried out in sections with unfavorable geology and sections with deformation.

The main content of this project is to use total station and level for monitoring, and use relevant software for data processing according to the data obtained, while carrying out safety inspections on site and submitting monitoring reports as required.

Innovation points of this project:

1.In order to better calculate the horizontal displacement monitoring data of this project, our unit independently developed the tunnel plane displacement monitoring data processing software.

2.In the operation monitoring of the northern section of Line 3 (Xisanzhuang Station to Shierzhong Station), we actively think about innovation and set up forced alignment bases at the same time when laying horizontal displacement measurement points, which makes the observation data more accurate; and it is more convenient to monitor alignment control with forced alignment bases, which effectively shortens the operation time.

3.The left line of the interval between Fuze Station and Dongshangze Station is constructed by shield method, and the main line of the left line is a temporary return line in the early stage as the operation demand. The right line of the interval is constructed by the open excavation and shield method. Due to the special nature of metro operation, the tunnel structure cannot be monitored manually in time, and based on the experience of other cities, the automated monitoring technology of total station is used for the first time in Shijiazhuang metro to monitor the tunnel structure deformation in real time.

In November 2020, the project successfully passed the owner's acceptance and completed the owner's data archiving.
